New WOW Index Web Server Database Design | Allows For More Algo Entries

We have re-designed the database on our web server that manages the WOW Index & Moab data.

The new design should not only offer you increased performance, it will allow us to surface more germane real-time information for you.

Currently, we surface trend reversal entry signals on the WOW Index charts, and call them ‘Moab’.   These signals are generated when our algorithms determine that the current state of Order Flow Momentum is no longer sufficient to maintain the current price move.

In these circumstances, one of two things must occur.

  1. Order Flow Momentum must increase to support the move.
  2. Price must revers.

The next set of algos that we want to introduce will be trend entering entry signals for ES (CME – S&P 500 e-mini) and CL (NYMEX – Crude) electronic futures markets…..these will be limited beta this week.

One distinction that I would like to point out is that the database changes that we have just implemented are only to the database that supports our web site.   Our algo generating platform, Tangiers, has not been modified.  We are simply extending some of the functionality of the web site to offer some of the intelligence already in place in our Tangiers platform, which we maintain in a co-location at the CME.

We will run them for a week or so and then deploy them publicly thereafter.

Hope that they help your trading.

      Hi Mike,

Were you referring to the database website that surfaces the charts or the database that manages our algorithms?
